CPR/first aid reimbursements available for those working with children

Through a grant, Options for Learning is inviting those who work directly with children to apply for reimbursement for their CPR/first aid certification courses if they meet the following eligibility requirements:
  • The applicant must live or work within Options for Learning's Resource and Referral service area: Alhambra, Altadena, Arcadia, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Duarte, El Monte, La Canada, La Habra Heights, La Mirada, Monrovia, Pasadena, Rosemead, San Gabriel, San Marino, Sierra Madre, South El Monte, South Pasadena, Temple City, and Whittier. 
  • The course must be an EMSA-certified training program AND must be eight hours in length. 
  • The applicant must work directly with children. 
  • The course must be completed between July 1, 2021, and June 30, 2022. 
Please refer to this information sheet for details on how to submit a request. Reimbursements are provided on a first-come, first-served basis while funding is available. The deadline to submit a request for possible reimbursement is on or before Thursday, June 30. Questions about CPR reimbursement may be directed to Zinnia Voong in Child Care Services.
